It’s TOO Quiet at Baker HQ & A Sneak Peek for NEXT WEEK! TFN

Ah Friday,

For once, Friday came with the leisurely speed of a one-legged 90 year old. Perhaps it was the sustained lack of a “THUMP, THUMP, THUMP” from the power-hammer since last Thursday, or maybe we just missed the consistent stream of happy, scale covered coworkers drifting through our office. But one way or another, the last day of the work week is here!

With the entire staff, barring our media team and CFO Bruce, on their one dedicated week off for the year, things were quieter around the Baker HQ in virtually every way. A few custom orders were still packed and shipped off, and a handful of retail purchases from our stock still left the building, but the rest remained relatively untouched. A welcomed break for a few key, well used machines. Just as it was likely welcomed for our hardworking manufacturing team and CEO. While production has been on a break, the progress on our new dedicated shipping room “forged” forward, with some local drywallers just about rounding out the finishing work. Soon each and every outgoing product will pass through this room, and thanks to the addition, dust free and in their sharpest form for y’all! Not only is this space a big improvement from a cleanliness standpoint, it also allows us to better store and organize stock as well as giving the shipping team a quieter, cooler room in which to pack orders!

With more freedom and less subjects for the week’s content, Waylon and I tried to have more fun with the entertaining elements of our social media posts. Although the week off handed us a delay to the weekend drop, and that limits our normal schedule, we happily brainstormed a few comedic ideas to help the week pass and keep our engaging audience entertained. Normally nearly all of what we post passes over the desk, and eyes of our CEO, Coy, but this week we allowed ourselves a bit of a loosened leash and we are thankful it was received well!

We love to hear input from viewers on our socials, and if our creativity spurred in you any idea or request for future Baker content, always feel empowered to announce it, preferably with a bit of sarcasm. Look out TODAY for the well-anticipated part two of our faux short-doc series “Forging in the Wild” featuring narration by Alex “David Attenborough” Norton, of Valhalla Ironworks. The first in the series was a big hit and a ton of fun to make, we hope you’ll like this one just as much!

Sneak Peek ... 👀

Knife makers, prepare for a fusion of legacy and innovation! While we rest this week, we have been planning the coming week’s exciting drop. Imagine taking one of our most celebrated layouts and infusing it with the dynamic energy of our latest patterning technique.

This upcoming release will showcase the intricate interplay of 1084 and 15N20, with copper accents that enhance the complexity without overshadowing our classic Baker Forge dam-core. Stay tuned NEXT WEEK for the official announcement….
