Happy Friday, Folks!

Now fully settled into our new space, the shop guys are getting their miles in walking between machines! Earlier this week we had a chance to show off the new rolling mill in it's new home. This is another big upgrade for our work and on socials y'all showed us the stoke! These upgrades are just steps toward being able to provide you with more and more specific, technical, and innovative steels for your products, and we are thankful for the support and excitement many of you have brought these last few weeks.

We are still working out some kinks around the shop, one of which being two massive exhaust fans located behind the forges. These fans had been left from the previous owners of the shop for a different use and immediately we saw that with some work, they would be an asset to keep working temperatures down and the shop guys cool and happy. We anticipated some work making that dream a reality, and we were not disappointed as we ended up rebuilding both fans entirely. With that labor behind us, we are high-fiving on the new addition. This summer’s heat might not be as brutal as some in our past, and I know the shop guys will be thankful.

In addition to those repairs, we are finally close to getting our new blanchard grinder up and running! We have some exciting plans for this machine and we can’t wait to let you in on the news, but you’ll have to stay tuned soon…

Finally, our very first batch of steel EVER from the new shop, and we returned to where we started, with one of our earliest and most popular patterns - DarkMai. A great deal of thinking went into this drop; with the compliments of our new facility and the machines it can host, we are offering the DarkMai in a much wider stock than we have been able to accomplish prior. This means we will have our typical 2 to 2 and ½ inch stock all the way up to 4 and 4+ inch widths on these billets! Additionally, with a simpler make-up, we are able to offer this steel at a very reasonable and affordable price-point, a perfect compliment to the economic stresses of the holiday season. So be sure to head over to our website tomorrow (Saturday) at 8pm EST and get an order in while they last!
