It's been a beautiful week in Boone, NC!

Warm and sunny out, which does something to the energy in the shop. The pace has been a little lighter than usual and honestly the crew has made the most of it. Little extra time to sit down and actually design new patterns, run some prototypes, dial in a few things we've been meaning to get to. The kind of productive that doesn't feel like non stop grinding. We'll take it.

We also had something special happen in the shop this week. Greyson from Grey Blades sent in one of his sword builds for a full photo and video session with Waylon. Epic piece. The kind of work that makes you stop and just look at it for a minute. If you're not already following his work, go fix that.

Introducing RazorWire GoMai (CuShim).

This one's brand new — a process we've never run before. 1084/15N20 Damascus cladding in chevron, fused over a copper shim and a solid 1084 core. Three-layer GoMai construction with a mosaic cladding method developed specifically for this build. The chevron geometry keeps the pattern tight and directional. The copper seam glows when it etches. Every billet is its own thing.
