Happy Friday, Makers!

This week was a bit of a blur. Chris Cash of Mount Phillip Metal Works dropped by Tuesday for two days of machine-tuning. The seller that brought many of our key machines to us, there simply isn’t anyone better-suited to get a machine running than Cash. In addition to his expertise, Chris brought us a couple of new shop-furniture pieces in a massive steel worktable and some heavy duty storage cabinets. Then the whirlwind began– Will hustled the usual load of production while many of the remaining staff assisted in various tasks surrounding the power hammer. Cole built linkages while Coy, Jay and Cash meticulously went through the hammer operations.

After two exhausting days we sent Cash back to his shop and finally got a little closer to bringing this Chambersburg into the permanent rotation. Stay tuned for our reel showing a bit of the action with cash dropping TODAY at 12pm EST.  The test-knife process once again saw a minor delay resulting in our media team hustling late in the week to get out all the appropriate media for this weekend’s BRAND NEW layout! Although ya’ll probably can’t see a difference, Waylon and I try to give extra special attention to those never-before-done layouts. This layout is no different and was WELL worth the wait. Stay tuned…

While most of the staff hustled on maintenance, Waylon & Will were working stainless damascus. Perhaps some of you saw our reel showing a little preview of our upcoming and HIGHLY anticipated stainless Damascus production. In the video we gave away more detail into our recent processes than ever before and viewers sure seemed intrigued! Stay tuned for the first public drop of our stainless coming VERY soon… And check out the reel in the meantime!

Late in the week activities are sometimes the most interesting, almost every Friday Waylon and Coy arrive at a quiet HQ, the production staff having already finished up manufacturing for the week, and hustle last minute media and extra work. Today they’ll be recording a quick ad read for our friends over at the Hustle & Grind podcast. Close friends and sponsored hosts, Noah and Ryan have used our CEO’s voice for several ad reads in the past, but another classic is headed their way. Give the show a listen and see if you can spot Coy’s voice in the sponsored ads!

Next week we have some REALLY special stuff coming down the pipe, this is your heads– save your cash, take a nap, and get yo’ ass on our socials, you WON’T want to miss what is coming.

Inside the Media

Waylon kicked off the week filming Chris Cash and the boys hustling on the power hammer for his long-form video detailing the saga with this hammer. Now almost to the finish line, waylon has been filming this video for well over a year now, documenting every step in the acquiring, installation, and maintenance of this beast. What he expected to be a rather dry and short video became a massive weeks long drama now in its final steps. From flooded foundations to electrical crises, this video is something to look forward to and a great example of the ebbs and flows with growth. Keep your eyes peeled for a drop-announcement regarding the Power Hammer video!

We’re wrapping up the week with some heavy editing as we finish out media for our latest product release– Grime Reaper. Aside from Coy’s brief mention on the Hustle & Grime podcast a few weeks back, we haven’t said much  about this product here but rest assured, she’s gonna BLOW YOUR MIND!

Sneak Peek 👀

This weekend, we’re thrilled to introduce ‘Disturbed’ GoMai Cu-Shim, a groundbreaking take on our traditional GoMai, making its debut in Chevron and Wavy patterns. As Coy shared in this week’s drop announcement, this layout features 100-layer 15N20/1084 Damascus cladding with a unique ‘Disturbed’ pattern—sporting thicker black lines and altered layer orientation—paired with a copper shim and a robust 1084 core. The result is a striking, modern twist on a Baker classic, with test knives from Jordan at JB Blades already turning heads. Flat-ground and available in a range of sizes, it’s a must for makers seeking something fresh. Hit the Baker Forge App TODAY at noon EST for early access, as recent drops have sold fast, or join the full release Saturday at 8pm EST.
