Innovation, Tomahawks, & ANOTHER New-Look Layout! TFN

Another Friday coming in hot!

With our full staff back in the baker HQ things have finally returned to near-normal again. It’s refreshing to hear the production team running full steam, everyone back into their normal responsibilities, and once again, a wealth of new and exciting weekend drops to fuel YOUR projects!

Last week’s debut of our new-and-improved Diamond pattern was a SMASHING success, almost as if you had been waiting for something new and exciting to come down the pipe. Nothing fuels our team more than our customers getting behind a new release, empowering our ability to get creative, innovate, and still make some money to turn into the next one! On that note; wait till you hear our followup to the Diamond release. Jay and the boys cooked up a GREAT one.

We began the week with a run of hawks for our friends at Half Face Blades. Not only does this particular release come made entirely in our steels, we also get to heat treat and precision flat grind these bad boy’s before they head back to Half Face to be completed. We love utilizing the space we have refined to help y'all get your projects done, check out the new Wholesale page on our website to get more info on what we offer and let’s make some cool sh*t together!

As the dust settled following the hurricane and our staff get back into their normal rhythm the need for a new Blanchard Operator has become evident. Growth is encouraging, and staffing has come easily to us this far, but I’ve been given permission to toss it out there; If you are in the Boone area and are interested in working as a Blanchard operator for Baker, please reach out via Info@BakerForge.com. Please only reach out if you are regionally located.

Inside the Media

Backup internet arrived on Monday. If it had arrived a few days earlier it may have made a larger difference. But now installed, we have a backup option to keep both the order fulfillment and media rolling. A nice accommodation for the back pocket as we learn how to manage challenges as a business together.

With our feet back under us around the HQ Waylon and I hoped to return to the momentum we had built in the weeks before Helene. With production ramping back up, however, we hate to disturb the guys. Alas, the best media comes when they are feeling loose and comfortable. Those are two words we would NOT use to describe the productive days on the production floor, but I think that’s how the staff likes it. Hoping to give the staff some space, we turned toward another big weekend drop, as well as some of the content we had in the works over the last two weeks.

Today you’ll see another “Piss Tip” with our resident Etch-Pert, Greyson from Grey Blades. In the reel Grey, Co-Creator of Gator Piss, reveals another expert tip to produce the best possible etch. This dude knows what he’s doing with an etch and this is among the more helpful tips he’s revealed for ya’ll. Be sure to check it out and give Greyson a shout!

Waylon recorded what is in my opinion, his best video shots of our new release - GoMai Cu-Shim - Diamond. Something about that shadow slowly revealing the copper shim while the focus shifts is just marvelous. Those details tend to fall through the cracks, so it’s worth mentioning. We try to treat everything in our business with the same passion we take to the product, and this shot was exemplary of Waylon’s growth as a videographer for us.

Stay tuned Saturday as the next iteration of our 2024 Steel Showdown hits the octagon. With the results of this matchup we will have only four layouts remain, three of which are likely to be our RipTide variations. Not necessarily a surprise, but we expect a close one as we all, together, pick our favorite amongst them. We’re still putting our ear-to-the-ground, but word is coming that the winning steel will, perhaps, be released following the results, so vote with your heart!

Sneak Peek

Oh baby. The response to our new Diamond pattern when paired with the BronzeMai Dam-Core WAY exceeded expectations. The support renewed our passion to make cool sh*t for you and this week we carried that passion into another classic Baker layout paired with this hot new Diamond pattern. Prepare to meet GoMai Cu-Shim - Diamond. There is something truly unique about our diamond pattern in this 100 layer damascus and we know this one is gonna be a shakeup new profile for our product lineup.

Available later today to our Baker App users and tomorrow to the public on our website at 8PM EST, don’t miss your chance to grab a bar!
