This week has been a bit of a blur for those of us working on the Labor Day Blowout, from media to shipping & packing, the crew has been just the right kind of busy as a result of our customers' overwhelming support. There’s just nothing like dropping those prices and getting some very discounted materials into makers’ hands prior to the big holiday rush of custom work. Although our media team, CEO Coy, and CFO Bruce all hustled Monday, Jay let the production team off for the Labor Day holiday, which seems only fitting based on the purpose behind this holiday. This prompted our Tuesday questionnaire, asking folks on socials what they would do with the day off work. Of course, in classic blue-collar fashion, an overwhelming majority of the comments expressed confusion about what exactly a “day off” was.
In other news, folks reaching out for customer service will soon hear back from Sam, half

production staff and now half customer service rep, Sam has been training to take over those questions (big & small) so that you can get quick and educated responses to your urgent requests. Having already worked with us on the production team for some time, his background producing our materials is a huge advantage and we are stoked to have him on our team! This frees up several of us who have been sharing the responsibility of getting back to each and every one of you quickly. As a helpful reminder, please email questions or concerns to Support@BakerForge.com as opposed to reaching out on socials. This gives Sam one consistent inbox to handle your inquiries quickly.
The machine maintenance never really stops around here and this week was no exception.

When the Blanchard grinder suddenly screamed for a head stock lead screw nut to be replaced, production Lead, Jay and our Head Engineer, Cole jumped into action and had that screw nut replaced in no time. What could have been days waiting on a maintenance guy was a simple fix for our guys. It pays to have the best staff to work on these historic machines, let me tell you. I can’t get into specifics, but this week was host to an unusual amount of R&D work. In the words of the Boss, “New sh*t on the way!” which can only mean the best. Stay tuned in the first weeks of autumn as our rollout for several new products draws nearer and nearer.

Inside the Media
With such a massive week-long promotion going on, this week was madness for our little media team. Add my upcoming wedding next weekend and you’ve got two very motivated media/marketing guys in me and Waylon. Fortunately we had our ducks in a row and not only promoted the sale till it nearly sold out, we’ve got a great start on media obligations and next week’s calendar of posts, drops, etc. With a solid foundation set, I’ll manage a bit of the early-week media with Waylon, and then I’ll check out and let him run the ship through the weekend. In the midst of plenty of media to capture, Waylon carved out some time today to continue shooting photo/video for our new product being announced next week on the Hustle and Grind podcast. I get into it a little more in the section below, but for the purposes of our ‘Inside the Media’ section, I’ll brag a bit on my coworker. Remember that behind every product are the skills & talents of at least a half-dozen people, Waylon made his impression on this one with another stellar round of product photos that highlight this game-changer in the best possible ways. WHEN it drops, take a look at the photos behind the advertising for a little extra appreciation for how the business works over here!
Sneak Peek 👀
As we wind down a week-long Labor Day Blowout that had bars flying off shelves around the HQ shipping room, we didn’t plan a weekend drop. However in the true, original spirit of this 'Sneak Peek’ section of the newsletter I’m going to let ya’ll in on something coming down the pipe NEXT WEEK! Be sure to check into the Hustle & Grind podcast hosted by Ryan Chadbourne and Noah Bloomberg this coming Tuesday as our Boss-Man, Coy will be guest appearing to announce our newest product: Grime Reaper. With Coy going over all the nitty-gritty with Noah and Ryan I’ll save the juicy details but rest assured— not only is this product another breakthrough problem-solver from our Gator Piss team, it might also be the most universally helpful product for Makers and DIYers alike that we’ve made. Be sure to check out the podcast next week and keep your eyes peeled for the Grime Reaper and his Scythe...
