Things looked a little different around Baker HQ this week as we hosted a crew of electricians assisting with the hookup of several new machines. With the new power hammer resting upright on its foundation, we shifted focus to air lines and electric hook-ups as we face the final stretch with a well-over a year installation process. Early in the week we tackled the 2 inch air piping, stretching from the Chambersburg across the ceiling and down a back wall to our air tanks & compressor, normal production had to shift a bit to compensate for all the moving around.

While Coy and the crew worked on air piping, Jay put in some seriously meticulous work making a new key for the sow block of the chambersburg, paired with the final electrician hookup we have never been closer to cutting on this massive hammer and pounding away! Stay tuned for Machine previews, install videos and all the exciting content Waylon and I can kick out from this new addition to the HQ!
Already feeling a little like kids on Christmas with the new hammer, we turned our attention to the other GIFT of a new machine that landed in the HQ late last week - our new custom built production furnace! I don’t even know where to begin on all of the unique and groundbreaking aspects

of this vital machine but rest assured not only are we now armed with some of the best machines in the business, we also are closer than ever to finalizing a VERY well-anticipated Stainless Damascus production line. We are after all, always shooting just above the standard, and by taking our time and building a capable and solid line of machines for this massive new endeavor we feel very confident and excited to step forward in the journey of bringing our own Stainless to the market. All made right here in the USA and all with the same attention to detail, consistent quality, and stunning patterns.

Inside the Media
A few hiccups challenged Waylon and my normal schedule for media this week. First, a delayed test knife for this weekend’s drop. Although we normally schedule things appropriately to receive the test knife a week ahead of time, this latest run of brand new layouts must have UPS in the weeds. The second hiccup was a full power outage in Waylon’s media office, reducing his options to a single extension cord for all of his studio and computer equipment in the morning hours of Thursday. Regardless, we kicked out some fun media, even collaborating with friend-of-the-business, Sharky for a hilariously on-brand reel.
Rest assured we have lots of long form video in the works with all of these new machine installs. Somewhere Waylon is crushing some editing right now, armed with only a single outlet.

Sneak Peek 👀
This weekend, we’re unveiling CopperMai W’s Core in Chevron for the first time, a layout that’s been a Baker favorite for its eye-catching copper Damascus cladding and tight W Damascus core. As Coy shared in Thursday’s drop video, the Chevron pattern takes it to new heights, pressing layers to reveal the core’s intricate W design for a truly phenomenal look. Flat-ground and available in a wide range of sizes, this drop is a must for makers chasing bold aesthetics. With app early access selling out fast lately, hit the Baker Forge App Friday at noon EST for the best selection, or join the full release Saturday at 8pm EST.
