Another blustery week around our Appalachian town has come and gone. With renewed 2026 aspirations our team jumped into the second week of January with some SERIOUS momentum. From finalizing our 2026 marketing strategy to building out an INSANE schedule for the next month of drops, we’re not holding back ANYTHING this year!

As many of you know, with every boom in production comes a small setback when a machine or tool breaks. This week was no different – With a clamp failing on one of the massive 2.5" rubber air lines for the

Chambersburg powerhammer’s air system. Ultimately it was a fairly simple fix for the staff, but boy did it startle us all. Imagine 750 gallons of air dumping through a 2.5" line all at once! Coy quipped that it sounded like two semi’s colliding at 70 MPH….

Speaking of Coy, our fearless leader joined the Boone Chamber of Commerce Head, David Jackson on this week’s “Mind Your Business” Podcast. Having been recognized as 2023’s Small Business of the Year by our local Chamber, we have built a wonderful relationship with all the folks involved locally and we’re thrilled to join David on this show! There’s often a local homie popping through the HQ throughout the week, whether it’s just to say “hi”, place an order or pay an invoice, we’re thankful for our little group of local Makers. No one personality better embodies this kind and hardworking group than our ex-shop mate, Josh from Primitive Woodsman. Dropping in to pay for a bulk order, it was nice to have a familiar face around the HQ for a few minutes on Tuesday, threw us back to all the early years of Baker working & growing alongside Josh and his crew. Our Tuesday administrative meeting to finalize 2026 Marketing Goals and Strategy went down STUNNINGLY. Now with all the approval and confirmation we needed, it’s up to Waylon and I to execute on the wealth of new ideas & projects!From exciting new reel series to dedicated long-form video, LARGE-scale collaborative GAWs to easy weekly promotions, Baker’s media is about to look a little different (in all the right ways)! Stay tuned as we launch our new year initiative over the next couple weeks, establishing new weekly trends and continuing to try to present the best, most entertaining content for our community! This week Waylon spent some time on our first long-form video of the new year, set to be released in the next week or two, viewers will have a chance to visit our updated headquarters, check out ALL the machines and tools in our shop, and take a deep dive into our production layout.
