Storm of the Decade, NEW Stainless Layout, Mystery Bar GAW Winner! TFN

Ah, Friday again!

The impending doom of the upcoming winter storm in the east has got us all bracing for the weekend after another hard work-week. In what they’re saying could be “the ice-storm of the decade” we plan to get everything lined up for another exciting new-layout drop this weekend and take to our prospective homes to watch the madness unfold!

One Baker staff member likely not so excited about the upcoming winter road conditions is our long-time media guy, Waylon. After some vehicle work in the week prior, Waylon can’t seem to catch a break with his ride. Two weeks of rides to work and mid-week hassles with the shop have our media guy ready to call it quits on his Ford and move to a Japanese vehicle manufacturer like many of the Baker staff. We love the American made stuff, but damnit if this hasn’t been a headache for a pretty vital person in our business.

Jay and the manufacturing team welcomed an addition this week – Tristian, a local high school student began his internship where he’ll be helping us out with various tasks around the HQ in hopes of learning essential skills and furthering his knowledge in this field. We’re always excited to bring young, inspired folks into this community and the extra hands are a huge plus.

Some unfortunate back-end hurdles led to another delay on the test knife for this weekend’s exciting new stainless Damascus drop. Unfortunately this meant we weren’t able to announce the drop until late yesterday. Regardless, this is a pattern we are STOKED about, so if you missed Coy’s introduction video go check it out or be sure to catch the ‘Sneak Peek’ section below for details!

After a CRAZY start to the year for our production team, Jay notified me late on Thursday that several varieties of end-cut and stick-bundles as well as a wealth of random bars had been added to BakerForge.com. During some of the heavier times for our manufacturing team some shorter or extra billets from custom and bulk orders are set aside for future sale. With a quick break to catch his breath, Jay uploaded and made live a handful of different bars across the site. May even be one or two in Wrought Iron surprisingly available up there right now. We’re only going to give you the tip here, so if there’s something specific you’ve been waiting for or you just want to go check it out and shop around– get em’ while they last at BakerForge.com/shop

Giveaway Winner

As part of our New Years Resolution to better support our community of Makers we launched a week-long Mystery Bar Giveaway! On Tuesday Coy asked Instagram & Facebook viewers to comment their favorite Baker layout & tag 2 friends to be entered to win a FREE mystery bar. After a flurry of excited entrees over the course of the week we are pleased to announce Ric Elliott as the winner! Congrats Ric on your win & thanks to all of you who joined in the fun. Stay tuned for more pop-up give-aways down the road!

Inside the Media

Waylon and I kicked off the week’s media with another classic Monday Question. This week’s challenge: ‘Name a handle material Makers should be using more?’ prompted more than 100 comments! A great start to the week’s social media plan and a great landing page for new Makers looking for material recommendations. Tuesday we launched the first of some planned GAW’s to further support our Maker community in 2026. A great way to get an absolutely free bar into the hands of a deserving craftsman, this week’s surprise mystery billet reel was an anchor for even more engagement and we hope ya’ll enjoyed a little break from the usual topics. Stay tuned down the road in 2026 for EVEN MORE exciting GAWs, collaborations and exciting new products!
